Home Relocation in Nairobi
Moving house is stressful because of the unknowns, not the lifting. We remove the unknowns: a survey, a firm price, a confirmed date and a crew that labels every box by room.
- Survey before quoting
- Packing service available
- Reassembly at the other end
The Part Most People Underestimate
Almost everyone underestimates how long packing takes and how much they own. A two bedroom flat is usually a full day of packing on its own, and it is the part that gets left until the night before.
The other common surprise is access. A narrow staircase, a lift that is out, a gate the lorry cannot get through, a security desk that needs notice: any of these can add hours. We check all of it during the survey, at both ends, which is why our price does not move on the day.
If you are handing back a rented property, the landlord will inspect it empty. Book the clean for the same day the last box leaves and you deal with it once.
- We survey both properties, not just the one you are leaving
- Access, parking and lift restrictions checked in advance
- Post-move cleaning of the old property available
How Your Move Runs
Survey and quote
In person or by video call. We see the volume, the access and the awkward items, then give you a written price and a date.
Materials delivered
If you are packing yourself, boxes, tape and labels arrive beforehand so you are not doing it at midnight.
Moving day
We wrap, dismantle what needs dismantling, load, and label everything by destination room.
Offload and reassemble
Boxes go to the right rooms and beds and wardrobes go back together. You should be able to sleep there that night.
What to Sort Before the Day
None of this is difficult, but doing it in advance makes the day much shorter.
| Two weeks before | The week before | The day before |
|---|---|---|
| Book the move and confirm the date | Start packing anything you will not need | Pack an essentials bag: chargers, medication, kettle, bedding, a change of clothes |
| Tell your building management and book the lift if there is one | Label boxes by room, not by contents | Defrost and dry the fridge or it will leak in the lorry |
| Arrange the post-move clean of the old place | Set aside documents, jewellery and anything irreplaceable to carry yourself | Take photos of your meter readings and any existing damage |
| Sort out what you are not taking | Confirm parking at both ends | Charge your phone and keep the crew leader number to hand |
Carry passports, title deeds, jewellery and laptops yourself. Not because we cannot be trusted with them, but because you will sleep better.
What You Get
Every mover says they are careful. Here is what we actually commit to.
- The price we quote is the price you pay, unless you add things after the survey.
- We reassemble what we dismantled. You are not left with a bed frame in pieces at 9pm.
- Boxes are labelled by destination room and put in that room, not stacked in the hallway.
- One booking for move, clean and fumigation if you want it, which is far less to coordinate.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a house move take?
A one or two bedroom flat is usually a single day including loading and offloading. A three or four bedroom house often runs into a second day, particularly if we are packing for you. The survey tells us which, and we tell you before you commit.
Can you pack everything for me?
Yes. A full pack means you touch nothing except your own personal documents and valuables. It adds time and cost, and for most people moving with young children or working full time it is money well spent.
What should I not put on the lorry?
Passports, title deeds, jewellery, cash, medication, laptops and anything irreplaceable. Also nothing flammable: gas cylinders, petrol, paint thinner.
Do you move on Sundays and public holidays?
Yes. Weekend moves are common and often easier for building access and parking. Tell us your preferred date at the survey.
Can you clean the old house after we move out?
Yes, and it is the sensible way to handle a deposit inspection. We can do the empty property the same day the last box leaves.
Which areas do you cover?
Nairobi and the towns around it: Westlands, Kilimani, Lavington, Kileleshwa, Runda, Ruaka, Karen, Lang’ata, South B, South C, Embakasi, Ruiru, Kikuyu, Ngong, Kitengela and Syokimau. Ask us about moves further afield.
Book your home move
Tell us the two addresses and the size of the property, and we will arrange a survey.
