Your home gets used hard. Cooking, children, pets, dust from the road and the long rains all leave their mark, and keeping up with it alongside work and family is a lot. Our residential cleaning service gives you a clean, fresh home without spending your weekend scrubbing, and a written list so you know exactly what was done.
We clean houses, flats, apartments, maisonettes, townhouses and short-term rentals across Nairobi.
Regular cleaning, deep cleaning or a move-in or move-out clean?
A deep clean is the reset. It reaches the built-up dirt that everyday cleaning misses: grease on cabinet fronts and splashbacks, limescale on taps and showers, dust on skirting, door frames and light fittings, and dirt under and behind furniture. Book it when a home has not had proper attention for a while, before a special occasion, or before you start a regular schedule.
A regular clean keeps that standard. Kitchens, bathrooms, floors, surfaces and bins, weekly or fortnightly. It is much quicker because the built-up work has already been done.
A move-in or move-out clean is a deep clean of an empty property. Empty is important: we can reach every surface, inside every cupboard and behind every appliance, and the job takes less time than a deep clean of a furnished home. A move-out clean is aimed squarely at the landlord's inspection; a move-in clean means you unpack into a genuinely clean home.
Short-term rental turnovers sit somewhere in between. They need to be fast, consistent and photograph-ready, with bed making and restocking if you want it.
Who residential cleaning is for
- Busy households and working parents.
- Families with young children, older relatives or pets.
- Tenants moving out and new occupants moving in.
- Landlords preparing a unit between tenants.
- Airbnb hosts and serviced apartment managers.
- Anyone preparing a home for a sale, a party, a new baby or visitors.
What is included in a residential deep clean
| Room | Included | Extra on request |
|---|---|---|
| Kitchen | Worktops, sink and taps, cupboard fronts and handles, splashback, exterior of appliances, hob, floor, bins | Inside the oven, inside the fridge and freezer, behind and under appliances, cupboard interiors |
| Bathrooms | Toilet, basin, bath, shower, tiles, mirrors, taps, limescale removal, floor | Grout scrubbing and restoration, extractor fan cleaning |
| Bedrooms | Dusting, surfaces, mirrors, skirting, floors, under accessible furniture, bed making on request | Inside wardrobes, mattress cleaning, curtain removal for laundering |
| Living and dining areas | Dusting, surfaces, skirting, door frames, light switches, floors | Upholstery and carpet cleaning, inside display units |
| Throughout | Interior windows and sills, door handles, light fittings, cobweb removal | Exterior windows, balcony and terrace wash-down |
| Empty property (move-in/out) | All of the above with full access, including inside cupboards and appliances | Wall washing and scuff removal before an inspection |
A regular clean covers the same rooms without the built-up work: kitchen and bathrooms, dusting, surfaces, floors and bins. We agree the exact list with you.
What is standard and what needs extra arrangements
Standard cleaning covers surfaces we can safely reach from the floor or a small step ladder. These need separate arrangements:
- Heavy furniture. We clean under and behind furniture that can be moved safely. Wardrobes and heavy units stay in place unless agreed.
- High-level and exterior work. External windows above ground floor and high ceilings need extra equipment.
- Specialist surfaces. Natural stone, unsealed wood and antique furniture may need specific products.
- Laundry, ironing and dishes. Available by arrangement, not part of a standard clean.
- Heavy soiling. Extreme grease, mould or waste build-up is assessed and quoted separately.
How often should you book?
| Frequency | Suits |
|---|---|
| Weekly | Families, homes with pets, larger homes, people with little time for daily tidying |
| Fortnightly | Smaller homes, couples and individuals who tidy as they go |
| Monthly | Homes that need a periodic deeper clean alongside your own regular cleaning |
| One-off | Moving in or out, special occasions, after illness, or before starting a schedule |
How residential cleaning works
- Describe the home. Number of bedrooms and bathrooms, current condition, which service you need, and any extras. Photos help.
- Agree the checklist. You receive the list of what is included and what has been added.
- Prepare. Clear clutter and put valuables away. We send a short note before the first visit.
- We clean. The team works through the list, room by room, top to bottom.
- We check. The work is reviewed against the list before the team leaves. If something in scope was missed, we come back and fix it at no extra cost.
Preparing your home for a clean
- Pick up clothes, toys and papers from floors and surfaces.
- Empty the sink of dishes unless washing up has been added.
- Put away jewellery, cash, documents and fragile ornaments.
- Tell us about delicate surfaces, pets, and rooms we should not enter.
- Confirm water, electricity and parking or gate access.
Our guide on how to prepare your home for professional cleaning has a full checklist.
Equipment and supplies
The team brings vacuum cleaners, mops, microfibre cloths, scrubbing tools, ladders and a range of cleaning products suited to kitchens, bathrooms and general surfaces. If you prefer specific products, for allergies, natural stone or simply preference, leave them out and we will use yours.
Areas that need extra attention
- Kitchens: grease on cabinet fronts, extractor hoods and splashbacks builds up quickly with Kenyan cooking.
- Bathrooms: hard water in parts of Nairobi leaves limescale on taps, showerheads and glass.
- Window sills and tracks: dust from roads and construction gathers here, especially in the dry season.
- Skirting and door frames: rarely cleaned but very visible once they are.
Safety and care
We test products on a small area before using them on delicate surfaces, never mix chemicals, and ventilate as we work. If you have children or pets, tell us and we will keep products out of reach and use milder options where possible.

Common mistakes
- Booking a regular clean for a home that needs a deep clean first, then being disappointed with the result.
- Assuming extras such as the oven are included without asking.
- Booking a move-out clean while furniture is still in place.
- Not mentioning a marble or granite surface until after it has been cleaned.
Why choose a professional house cleaning service
A trained team with the right equipment gets more done in a morning than most people manage in a weekend, and a written checklist means the standard is the same every time. If something in scope is missed, we come back.
